My Elena Collins novels delve into rich tales from history, exploring stunning locations and the murky world of the supernatural.

These dual-timeline novels tell the stories of people’s lives, then and now, packed with intriguing historical parallels and spine-tingling moments.

I was delighted that 'The Wicked Lady,' a dual timeline about the life of the highway robber Katherine Ferrers, won the RNA Historical Romantic Novel Award for 2025.

Elena Collins is one of my three pen names. I write humorous 'golden' fiction as Judy Leigh, and I also write cosy crime as JR. Leigh. Having lived all over the UK from Liverpool to Cornwall, I now live in Somerset. I have three black cats.

Before becoming a novelist, I taught theatre, set up Shakespeare Festivals and I was the lyricist in a punk band.
