Paul Williams

Paul Williams is an author, singer/lyricist, designer, business owner and promoter originally from York and now living in Darlington UK. He has 5 children and is married to his partner Ruth. He has been a figure within the UK Ska music scene for over 35 years, as concert promoter and magazine editor (Street Feeling) and a TV/Media consultant. He fronts long standing UK ska band The Skapones. He is also co-admin for the online fan club of UK ska legends The Specials. In 19965 he wrote a pocket book version of the history of the band entitled "You're Wondering Now -A History of The Specials", published by ST Publishing. In 2009 the book was updated heavily, virtually rewritten, to coincide with the bands reformation called" You're Wondering Now- The Specials From Conception to Reunion" and issued by Cherry Red.

He is the founder of The Specialized Project CIC, which is a social enterprise that aims to help young people in difficult circumstances by producing musical products and events in support of charitable organisations. The Specialized Project supports a community of like-minded music makers at all level and have a dedicated team of volunteers, including musicians and music industry workers.
