After a long and successful career in television journalism with the BBC and ITV, Phil Johnson now writes fast-moving thrillers.

As a newsreader, reporter and producer, he covered national and regional news stories. These included tracking down criminals to Spain, going on high-octane police chases and interviewing pop stars, politicians and celebrities.

Phil became the face and voice of regional Crimestoppers and created the successful TV series: “999 Frontline”.

After a career researching, script writing and presenting the news, writing thrillers was an obvious progression. His carefully crafted characters compliment his gripping and action-packed stories and Phil’s books have been Shortlisted and Finalists for numerous awards. Now living near Norwich, England, in addition to his writing Phil loves music, travelling, walking, and sailing.
