Alessandro Mazzucchelli

Writer and independent scholar of symbolism, traditional cosmologies, and comparative mythology. Ancient civilizations—approached through texts, images, and rites—are his workshop: sacred geographies, world-axes, thresholds, calendars, and languages of the sacred.

Since 1985 he has combined teaching and public lectures on art and sacred traditions with study travel in Europe and beyond. He has also curated cultural initiatives, including three editions of the International Meeting on Byzantine Art (Italy, Greece, Romania, 2016–2018), and serves as a founding member and Vice President of Methexi – International Partnership for Culture & Arts.

His essay Rapsodie del Tempo received awards in Italian national nonfiction prizes, including the Fiorino d’Argento at the Premio Firenze (2023), as well as prizes at Forum Traiani (2022) and I Murazzi (2022).
