DR. J.R. Thicklin

J.R. Thicklin is affectionately known as a "Man of Purpose." His life work of reaching, teaching, educating and empowering lives and shaping destinies of people impacted by social ills and determinants such as domestic & sexual violence, fatherlessness, institutional racism, mental health is only a foot note to his relentless work in being an agent of change, a Transformer. Thicklin is a inspirational and Motivational Speaker, Facilitator and Clergy. His work spans over 38 years reaching the least, lost and left out. He has been on the front line in developing curriculum and teachings addressing the role of Church in addressing Domestic & Sexual Violence, Mental Health and Racisim. He has produced works such as The Clergy Toolkit on Domestic & Sexual Violence, addressing Human & Sex Trafficking. His Work With Boys and Men and Fathers have produced programs like Father's Life Line and Destiny Changers: Building Boys to Men. He is the recipient of many awards and commendations including but not limited to the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Awards, The African Diaspora Awards and Many Others. He is a much sought after Conference Speaker in both the Faith & Secular Communities.
