Amanda Glaze

Amanda Glaze grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she spent most of her time with her nose in a book or putting on plays with friends. Her debut novel, THE SECOND DEATH OF EDIE AND VIOLET BOND, was inspired by her real-life spirit medium ancestors and was selected as a Barnes & Noble YA Book Club Pick and honored by the American Library Association as a Rise Feminist Book List Selection. Her latest novel, THE LIES OF ALMA BLACKWELL, is a romantic gothic mystery born from her obsession with the endlessly strange Winchester Mystery House, called "cinematic" and "gripping" by Kirkus Reviews.

A two-time Emmy Award–winning film and television producer, Amanda has developed and produced everything from romantic comedies to documentaries. She holds a BA from UCLA and an MFA from Hamline University. When she's not busy writing or supporting young storytellers as a creative writing mentor, she can usually be found curled up with a book and a pair of cats or running off to the mountains.
