Growing older and inspired by my travels, I decided I was ready to embark on a new venture, writing. I began my writing journey by telling my mother’s love story in Loving Oscar. and then went on to publish Fuimos A Cuba, a funny recounting of a 1999 trip to Cuba when such travel was banned.
My most recent book, The Sacred Vow, is my personal memoir – a story of love and betrayal. Like all my books, it is funny yet poignant. Meeting our true selves on the written page is hard and yet freeing, especially when revealing a 30-year secret. I can’t wait to read your comments about what your past has taught you about yourself.
When I’m not writing, I enjoy baking, walking and tidying the local park, mastering Tai Chi and Zumba, attending my weekly writing class, and enjoying a great glass of Cabernet.
The Escape, my next book is about a man attempting to rescue his young sister who accidentally falls out of his truck causing an interplanetary travel mishap.
