William Stubblefield

William Stubblefield received a BA in English Literature from Stanford University, which gave him a lifelong love of the written word, and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico which led to a career in Software Design and Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. He has worked as a consultant, a visiting professor at Dartmouth College, and a researcher at Sandia National Laboratories.

He is the author (with George Luger) of the first three editions of Artificial Intelligence: Strategies and Structures for Complex Problem Solving and AI Algorithms, Data Structures, and Idioms in Prolog, Lisp, and Java.

His fiction includes a kid’s book, How Mother Rat Invented the World and a fantasy/adventure for older readers entitled Swarm: Metamorphosis.
