Cherish Fields is challenging the status quo. From being a product of foster care to becoming a Child Welfare Leader and sought-after speaker. As a host of a podcast called Child Welfare Leaders, Cherish empowers professionals in the Child Welfare field to lead change right where they are. Her podcast ranked #8 in the Top Podcasts to Listen to in 2021.

Cherish is a trained MSW obtaining her education from the University of Michigan. She has dedicated her career to improving the experience of those who encounter the child welfare system, and empower change for those that work within the system. She is the owner of Cherish Fields Solutions, LLC which is a consulting agency that offers professional and organization development, speaking, facilitating, courses, coaching and more…Cherish has been published in the Michigan Social Work and Social Justice Journal in 2011. She continues to use writing as a tool of advocacy, empowerment and inspiration. In 2015, she was honored with the House of Providence Survivor Award which in 2021 became the “Cherish Fields Survivor Award”. She is a recipient of the Survivor Foundation Social Worker of the Year Award, and 2019 Dedicated & Deserving Social Worker Award that was featured in the Social Worker Today magazine. Outside of work, she is blessed to be happily married raising their two children.
