In High School, Neff got his first restaurant job, Jed’s Steak and Ribs. He found that job was a great place to start in the business, but the interaction and Esprit de Corps at future restaurants helped to mold the operator that Neff would become.
After graduation from Miami University, Neff became fully immersed in restaurants as a career-choice. His journey would take several twists and turns.
Over the years, Neff has worked with some of the largest hospitality companies in the US, such as General Mills and Darden Restaurants. He has been instrumental in concept development within several groups. Neff now owns and controls two partnerships. He has a strong focus on community involvement and staff retention, part of a skillset that has evolved through his experiences.
His book ON Stage portrays hospitality as a performance and takes the reader from casting call to the role of a lifetime and then closing (and reopening) the show for a worldwide epidemic.
