Clement Charles

Clement Charles is the son of Aloysius Thomas Suttmann, or as Al was known throughout his life, Big Al. Clement lives in a tiny historic fishing village in the great state of Michigan, about two miles north of the 45th parallel, on the shore of the great inland freshwater sea, Michigan, or just over half way to the North Pole. Clement was named after his grandfathers, Aloysius dad was Clement and Clement's mom's dad name was Charles. Clement never met either one, as both made the Great Leap five years before Clement was born. Yet he knows them well from the stories of his parents and older sister.

Clement has been married for over forty two years to his one and only beloved. He has three children and four grandchildren of whom he is most proud. As would his father be.

Clement Charles writes spiritual missives which have been, and still are, published in the bulletin of his church, St. Wenceslaus in Gill's Pier, Michigan. He has done this for almost three decades. He recently began publishing these missives on Substack, a highly recommended writer's platform. These missives can be found at Clement's Newsletter on Substack.

The true author of the book, 'Faithful' is, of course, Big Al.

Clement simply served as the facilitator. Before disability, Clement also played the role of facilitator for four different companies, participating in turning them from unprofitiable entities to substantially increased profits and success. He did this without laying off a single person in two plus decades.

In Clement's many late night conversations with his father, particularly in the final chapter of his father's life, Big Al often told Clement, "You know Smoky...

(Big Al's nickname for Clement was Smoky, because he was born on the 10th of July instead of on July 4th, which was his father's wish. Hence Big Al said Clement was like a firecracker who did not go off on time, fizzling or smoking for awhile before he finally came out of his mom.)

...you're a great mystic!"

Well, Clement does not think one can be a 'great mystic' until you've finshed this race called life and your example and your works prove that theory. But he took them into his heart and takes them as the final directions his dad gave him.

So that is what Clement constantly strives for and always will along with his father's modus operandi - help people and help them be better. This it will be for Clement Charles.... until time is no more and he is once again reunited with his best friend.
