Trudy Davidson

Trudy Davidson is a UK children’s author and the creator of Rhyming Moments, writing colourful, engaging stories that encourage children to explore the joy of reading.

Trudy began her publishing journey with chapter and picture books for young children, creating fun animal characters and stories filled with rhyme, repetition, humour and adventure. Her books include the award-winning Lucy Lamb’s Most Curious Adventure, Mr Vole’s Upside Down New Pots, Rodney the Seagull: Chips, Ice-Cream and Cake, Little Mouse’s Tasty Find, Caterpillar’s Big Change, Busy Bee’s Perfect Dive and Elephant May’s Slippery Day.

Her writing has since grown into new adventures for older young readers. Her Men Under Shade series takes readers into the magical world of Chuckle Wood Forest, beginning with The Secret of the Mushroom Men and continuing with The Fireflies and the Shadows. Look out for further books in the series coming soon.

Alongside writing children’s books, Trudy is passionate about encouraging others to bring their own stories to life. She is the author of From Concept to Creation: Your Ultimate Guide to Writing Picture Books and Self-Publishing, sharing practical guidance from her own publishing journey.

Trudy also enjoys visiting schools, nurseries and other settings, where she shares her author journey, explores how books are created, reads her stories and encourages children to use their own imagination to create stories.

Whether she is writing a rhyming picture book, developing a new woodland adventure or helping aspiring writers take their first steps towards publication, Trudy’s aim is simple: to create stories that spark imagination and make reading an enjoyable part of childhood.
