Milo Stewart

Milo Stewart (they/them) is a nonbinary, trans and queer advocate who published their debut guided journal Trans Futures Now at age 23. Despite in no way being a trans elder, Milo still has years of experience witnessing changes in the trans community since coming out at age 12, in 2010. On their YouTube channel, under the same name, Milo promotes unrestricted self-discovery through a lens influenced by radical liberation politics.

Milo started posting videos, filmed in their bedroom, around age 15, when they very quickly experienced a very hostile and transphobic reaction to their story. Despite putting a massive mental strain on them, Milo pushed through the hate and has come through to the other side a stronger person with insights on how to beat transphobia, including transphobia put onto them by other trans people.

Milo received a Bachelor's degree in Peace, Justice and Conflict Studies, with a focus on social movements for queer and trans rights as well as restorative/transformative justice from DePaul University in Chicago, IL. They're now close to finishing a Master's in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies, which they want to use to help LGBT+ people escape persecution internationally.
