From as far back as Zan can remember, she's loved the ideas of writing stories and making art. Finally, she's brought the two together in a way that can be shared with the world. "The Tale of the Lion With the Too-Small Chin" was written to explain a painting gone bad, then illustrated with more "bad" paintings to become her first book. Turns out, it's just the first of three children's books set in the Savanna.
Zan lives with her two teenagers and three cats in Seattle. When she's not writing or painting, she works full time, takes care of her home, volunteers with Cascade Writers, and goes to the beach as often as she can. It's the easiest place for her to listen to and watch the undercurrents of life that keep her grounded.
