Dan practices and teaches transformative mediation in Minnesota and Southern California. He is the co-author, with Tara West, of "Self-Determination in Mediation: The Art and Science of Mirrors and Lights" (expected 2022). He is also co-author, with Joseph P. Folger, of "Transformative Mediation" a chapter in "The Mediation Handbook: Research, Theory and Practice" (2017); and he wrote "Transformative Mediation for Divorce: Rising Above the Law and the Settlement," a chapter in "Transformative Mediation: A Sourcebook" (2010).
