Laura Kane is a 11-year survivor of Medulloblastoma, a type of brain cancer. At the age of twenty, Laura had brain cancer, radiation, chemotherapy, and brain surgery, which caused her to lose her ability to walk. She went through rigorous physical therapy and now is grateful to walk with the assistance of a cane. After her battle with cancer, Laura went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and a Master’s Degree is Organizational Leadership. She has worked as a domestic violence advocate, parks and recreation director with marketing, and Certified Nursing Assistant at a nursing home. Unfortunately, due to side effects from brain surgery, she is now disabled, but determined to keep fighting to better herself and the world. Laura woke up in the middle of the night and felt a fully spiritual urge to write this book. 27 days later, Luceat Lux Vestra was born. Laura is passionate about living in peace and helping other’s awaken their spirituality. She can be found most often in her dream world, overlooking a West Virginia mountain with a cup of coffee.
