J.C. Moore is the author of the Shadow Bay series, the Frank Mallory thrillers, and the Shattered Horizon books. His novels blend crime fiction, psychological suspense, and hard-boiled storytelling with damaged characters, violent crimes, missing persons, and people trying to survive situations that keep getting worse.

Influenced by writers like Robert B. Parker, Lee Child, James Patterson, Karin Slaughter, and Michael Connelly, Moore’s stories focus on tension, atmosphere, and flawed people pushed past their limits.

Before writing full time, Moore worked as a bartender, IT technician, touring musician, horse farm manager, and restaurant owner. His music has appeared in television and film.

He lives in upstate New York with his partner and their dog and is a member of the Mystery Writers of America.
