J.C. Moore is the bestselling author of the Shadow Bay thrillers, the Frank Mallory thrillers, and The Ex She Feared.

His books tend to feature small towns, dark secrets, missing people, serial killers, and ordinary people having very bad days. He writes fast-paced crime and suspense, with characters and story always at the center.

A longtime fan of Robert B. Parker, Michael Connelly, Karin Slaughter, Lee Child, and James Patterson, Moore started writing fiction during the pandemic and hasn't found a good reason to stop.

Before becoming a full-time author, he worked as a bartender, IT technician, touring musician, horse farm manager, and restaurant owner. His music has appeared in television and film.

He lives in upstate New York with his partner and their dog, Archie. He is a member of Mystery Writers of America, The International Thriller Writers and Alliance of Independent Authors.
