I released my autobiography, "Cutting Out: The Making and Unmaking of a Surgeon," in 2023, under my full professional name, James K. Weber, M.D, F.A.C.S. This book describes my background, training, career as a surgeon, and transition into a different career: teaching yoga. It describes reuniting with my true love after several false starts. The book is filled with plenty of anecdotes. Primarily, it emphasizes the value of risk taking.

I also have two books of entertaining vignettes: "Joie de Vivre, As I See It (2022)" and "Which Reminds Me,...(2024)," under the name James K. Weber, M.D. For some technical reason, Amazon will not let me link all my books on one author page.

A fourth was co-written (under my more informal name, Jim Weber) with my wonderful wife, Mary Mitchell, a world authority on etiquette. "The Complete Idiots Guide to Modern Manners Fast Track." It is a remarkably complete, although short compendium on what most people need to know about manners, which sadly are increasingly lacking in today's challenging times.
