After living most of her life in Iowa, Kellye Crocker expected to die happy there. But when her husband accepted a surprise job offer, they moved their newly empty nest to Colorado. Writing DAD'S GIRLFRIEND AND OTHER ANXIETIES was a fun way for Kellye to explore her new home. Like her main character, Kellye lives with anxiety and is always up for belly breathing. This is her first novel.
As a faculty member for Lighthouse Writers Workshop’s Young Writers Program, Kellye helps nurture the next generation of writers. She holds an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts and a bachelor’s degree in news-editorial from the Missouri School of Journalism. She's a journalist who has written for newspapers and magazines such as Better Homes and Gardens, Parents, and Glamour. She lives in Denver, Colorado, and enjoys reading, making art, and exploring the mountains with her husband and their naughty Black Lab.
