Mimie

Mimie, author of In Distress and Glaze, received a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, but took Creative Writing courses for kicks in the University of the Philippines, Diliman. Born in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Mimie often frequented the unnecessarily expansive malls of the city to savor the air conditioning. As a neurodivergent mom, she advocates strongly for mental health, accessibility, and education through exploring different perspectives. Mimie's first award for writing was from a children's story writing contest at school, when she wrote about kid detectives trying to uncover a heinous food poisoning incident from kids ingesting their favorite gum, back when she was 8 years old. When not writing, Mimie is found playing casual games or RPGS when time permits. Otherwise, she is often found wifing and momming around to a child and two fat cats, while guzzling coffee like there's no tomorrow.
