Cindy Collins is an award-winning poet who has lived with paranoid schizophrenia since the age of sixteen. Though her passion for creative writing and literature was sidelined by her illness, Cindy has since made a remarkable recovery and returned to her love of writing. Her debut book, 'When White Walls Whisper,' was written to offer support and understanding to others diagnosed with schizophrenia and psychosis-related conditions, as well as to educate and empower the loved ones of those affected by these disorders.
In addition to her schizophrenia diagnosis, Cindy is on the autism spectrum, a condition discovered during her treatment for schizophrenia. Despite both challenges, she has never let these conditions hinder her drive to achieve her goals. With a dedication to raising awareness and providing hope, Cindy is currently working on publishing several poetry collections focused on mental health and recovery. Through her writing, she continues to inspire others and share her unique perspective on the journey to healing.
