Simon Shugar

Simon Shugar is a fantasy author drawn to bold, emotional, action-driven storytelling, often told through intimate first-person perspectives. His work focuses on coming-of-age journeys, high-stakes conflict, and deeply human struggles set within fantastical worlds.

Originally from Oxfordshire, England, he now lives in North Carolina with his young son and a very spoiled dog named Jasper. A lifelong fantasy reader, he has always been drawn to stories that combine wonder, hardship, and emotional depth.

Before writing full time, Simon studied game design and later moved into software engineering. What began as a creative outlet alongside work gradually became something much larger, growing into a body of work that now spans multiple series and standalone novels, with many more stories still to come.
