I was born in Phoenix, AZ, in 1965. My family moved to Northern California when I was three years old, in 1968. I was raised in the beautiful beach communities of Santa Cruz County. I am the seventh of eight children.
In the 1980's, I owned a chain of 14 video stores across several counties in Northern California.
In the 1990's, I obtained a real estate license and worked in every aspect of the field for 15 years.
During 2006-2008, a series of harsh life experiences brought me to homelessness.
Early 2010, I got back on my feet and started my own business being a Professional Organizer (www.The Organizer 4U.com)
Late 2011, I sold all my possessions and went hiking in the wilderness with my dog and a backpack for a year, relying on God to supply my food, shelter and clothing. I never went without. I also got clean and sober.
Late 2012, I returned to society and resumed my organizing business.
Mid 2014, I started my second business of cleaning houses.
Early 2020, I started my third business holding in-home classes teaching people how to live more sustainably and eco-friendly lifestyles by making their own personal and household use products such as shampoo bars, toothpaste, deodorant, makeup, laundry detergent, facial scrubs, etc. (www.SmallerFootprintEvents.com). The day I paid for my DBA, Covid lockdowns were established, so it's been on hold.
January 2022, my sister, Adele Lauren, who has authored several books, asked me to proofread/edit a children's book she'd written. Not only did I make corrections, but I added several pages of text. She said, I had a knack for it and that I should be writing my own children's books. The thought had never occurred to me. So I thought up a story line and a character, and my Hadley series was born. Within four months I've written 7 Hadley books (with ideas for at least 10 more books), as well as co-authoring three other children's books with my sister (so far).
