Anne Reymond

Anne Reymond was born on the white clouds of post-war Glory and Recovery Years in Europe. Driftring with the wind through time and space, she became the witness of 1968 in France; then came Watergate in the States, Festac in Nigeria, Thatcherism in Britain, Syria before the war and now Ukraine : from her white cloud high up in the sky, that was more than enough material to observe how human adventures keep unfolding and repeating themselves, spirale after spirale, like the many waves of a human sea. She feels that the more things seem to change, the less they actually do change. Surviving is then a matter of keeping in touch with one’s roots and holding on to one’s identity.

Identity is indeed the major theme of the Philomena Saga.

Book Two will develop how various members of a family wrangle issues of illness, old age and and fading memory, while three peoples, the Cherokee, the Corsican and the Ukrainian, resist agression to save their specific identity.
