Elissa Wentt

Elissa Wentt is an author-illustrator and entrepreneur from Virginia Beach, VA. She studied Fine Art at George Washington University and received her BFA in Communication Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University. Elissa has a passion for creating work that celebrates black culture, encourages self-love, and promotes mental health.

Her debut board book, I LOVE MY BEAUTIFUL HAIR, was acquired by Scholastic and is planned for release in Spring 2022.

In her free time, Elissa enjoys cooking vegan soul food (especially vegan mac & cheese), learning different languages, and strategizing her next move for her small business, EJWALRUS, LLC.
