ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Anna is a known voice on Mindfulness in London. After two decades working in various industries, she began her journey as a Mindfulness teacher in 2015. She trained with the MiSP to teach paws.b in Primary schools and then in 2016 to teach dot.b in Secondary Schools. Shortly after she qualified as a Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy teacher with Dr. Patrizia Collard (author of The Little Book of Mindfulness). Finally going full circle, to make use of her earlier careers in Hotel Management, Consulting, Banking and Retail, Anna became accredited to teach Mindfulness in the Workplace with the Oxford Mindfulness Centre.

Over the last 7 years she has dedicated her work to bringing this vital life skill, centred around using your breath for stress relief, to over 6000 children and adults in schools, businesses and for the Alzheimer’s Society. Having re-designed her life after ‘finding’ her breath, she is committed to teaching others to find theirs, so they can thrive.

Anna has been featured in You Magazine, Daily Mail, Spirit & Destiny, SW Families Magazine and the Talented Ladies Club. She has also been nominated for an Mpower National Business Award. She is a speaker at Headteacher conferences, including the Mayor of London’s LondonEd 2021, and at the annual London Mindful Living Show. In December 2017 Findel LDA publishing invited her to create ‘Mindfulness Shuffle – 50 fun Mindfulnessbased activities’ to develop children’s Emotional Intelligence, which has sold over 1000 copies.

Anna is a single mother of three teens and invests her time in championing mental health education and healing tools for everyone aged 5 to 75. These same tools enabled her to transform the devastation of separation, childhood trauma, and her mother’s dementia into a force for social impact. By introducing children and adults to the powerful impact of Mindfulness as a support in everyday life, she has enabled them to increase their resilience, as well as embrace a plan B if things fall apart, as they often do.

As a carer herself, Anna teaches Mindfulness to dementia carers for Alzheimer’s Society, and has raised funds for them by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in January 2020, as well as running the 2021 Royal Parks Half Marathon. She complements her face-to-face teaching with her new online course “Live in this moment – learn to be present in just 10 weeks”, and with the retreats that she runs in her beloved Algarve.
