Born and raised in South Korea, Yujin Kim wanted to study in America to pursue her passion for international public policy. She studied in Korea, Canada, and finally the United States where she received her BA (Boston University) and MS degrees (Tufts University) in economics. She started her research career at the International Monetary Fund in 2020.
Kim is also the author of the memoir, A Place to Take Root: A Memoir of Becoming Sure as an International Student.
