Peter Ford

Peter Ford retired after 45 years in the National Health Service to live in mid-Wales. Here he developed a keen interest in local history and became a town guide in Hay on Wye. He developed a passion for telling the often overlooked stories of local people in a small rural market community.

What was life like for most of the population? How did they live? What were the influences on their lives? Life could be hard, particularly for women. Their stories should be heard.
