Kate Baker-Loveday

Kate Baker-Loveday is an artist, author, poet, publisher, wife, and mother with an intrinsic love of nature. Along with being an author of several pages on social media, including, Violet Daisy Chain – All Pregnancy and Baby Loss Counts and Poetry In Essence, and having poetry published in anthologies with poets from around the globe: The Pillar, Legacy, The Way We Were, Born to Dream and Words in Motion, Kate has, finally, which has been no easy feat, accomplished what she now considers to be one of her greatest challenges, and published her first book - Two Worlds One Mother.

In 2011, Kate found herself confronted with changes in her health which would change her life as she once knew it forever. Overcoming and integrating such significant life changes were sadly not new to Kate as in 2003, she also suffered the loss of twin girls. Learning to live with such devastation is far from easy, but by recognising and understanding the strength of her emotions, she has found ways to use her experiences, and creative skills, to channel some of that feeling. Combined with her deep love and affinity towards nature, such feelings are undoubtedly the sources she draws upon for inspiration.

Kate humbly accepts her path, she recognises her interpretations and style are not the most conventional, and to be herself, they do not need to be. She knows how life can sometimes be tough, but that it can also be immensely beautiful, and with both arms, she wholeheartedly embraces her unique and quite extraordinary life.
