Brenda Young is no stranger to inspirational leadership, as she has served many years in the armed forces, bringing high honors to the field of servant leadership, through her acts of service in both, Naval expedition and Corrections Facility Leadership. In addition to servant leadership, Brenda has shown a regard for higher learning, having earned her associate degree in Applied Business Office Technology, from Antonelli College, in 2015; accompanied by achieving honors of perfect attendance and making the Deans List of academic excellence.

Brenda has also been recognized by her many contributions in servant leadership, having earned the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism (Service and Expeditionary) Medal, two Navy Sea Service Deployments, two Navy Good Conduct Medals, a Navy Rifle Qualification Ribbon and Medal in 2009: A Navy Pistol Qualification Ribbon and Medal Sharpshooter, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Navy E Ribbon, and a US Navy Honorable Discharge.
