Thank you for following my books! I appreciate you! I am having so much fun writing the Fig Willow Series, I hope you love the stories as much as I do.

I had a career in Library Service. During my years in the library I developed children's programming which included interactive games, story time, crafts, and special events such as Summer Reading programs. I was Nationally recognized for my efforts. During the time I spent in library service I attained the rank of Branch Manager.

I participated in Collection Development for the children's books. Created elaborate decorations of the children's area, and was in charge of children's programing and hiring talent for events.

After retirement I became interested in book writing. I had an idea of writing children's fairy books during the time I was writing a fiction series with a friend.

I wanted to write fun, and interesting stories but to give the books a message of love, friendship, teamwork, family, and caring for the world. And here they are: The Fig Willow series.

I hope you love them like I do. I also wanted to write books that may assist some people that may have challenges in reading. Thus a slightly larger font, and plenty of spacing around and under the sentences. Being a mother of an autistic child, and also parented one with ADHD, I wanted to help children like them to be able to see the words better, and also for them to be able to more easily keep their place while reading.

The Fig Willow mini series on holidays are based on old traditions and modern traditions.

The Deborah O'Hara book series written with Cara Carter Gubrud, is a great read for adults that enjoy historical information.
