Alicia McKenzie

Alicia McKenzie is an IBPA award-winning author, angel investor, nonprofit founder, and mother of five based in McLean, Virginia. She is the Co-Founder of The Next ChaptHER Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to connecting women with community, capital, and opportunity. Her writing spans children's books, personal development, and entrepreneurship — rooted in her own experience as a biracial woman navigating marriage, motherhood, and building multiple businesses.

These ABCs Belong to Me, was born from her belief that the words children use to define themselves matter. She and her husband George co-host Married to the Startup, a podcast exploring the real stories behind iconic founder journeys. Her work lives at the intersection of identity, ambition, and legacy.

She lives in McLean, Virginia with her husband George, their five children, and their dogs Huck, Fitz and Olive.
