Ben Barrowman

Ben Barrowman is the creator and author of The Parmesan Pig Series. He is married to his hometown sweetheart, Lauren and they share 2 children, Connor and Jane.  It was Jane that invented the character Parmesan Pig as a toddler.  As a creative pursuit, his whole family enjoyed formulating more food-animal names.  Over the years, Ben crafted stories with social-emotional learning themes using these characters. 

Professionally, Ben works with Veteran organizations across the country, along with suicide prevention coordinators, to address the behavioral health needs of military and Veteran families.  This career serves to promote peer support, mental health, and self-enrichment - all of which are core themes throughout the series.
