Martin Walker

Martin Walker lives with his wife in the East Midlands of the UK. From an early age he enjoyed exploring the local fields and woodlands in search of wildlife. He started writing in 2019, encouraged by the groundswell of young people protesting to take on the world's leaders and challenge them about the climate crisis. His debut YA novel is the first of the Hybrid Trilogy, telling the story of teen activists wanting change but coming against evil forces bent on wrecking the world. It's a tale of forbidden love and the rebel heart of Rachael who will not live by her communities' codes. Able to do more than protest, she is willing to risk everything for change.

His new series 'Maisie G' is coming out in June 2023. It follows the life of a teenager who is caught up in an assassin world, trying to unravel her past and vindicate her parents. This comes from Martin's love of spy thrillers and Bond movies. As a youngster, he loved the TV series 'Mission Impossible', and continues to enjoy the movies in that series. He would liken her to 'Reacher', as she is a tough teenager, ready to take on anything - adapt and live, her motto!
