I’m Kamelah Blair from Toronto, Canada — an award-winning author of over 26 books, available in 130+ bookstores worldwide, including Walmart, Barnes & Noble, Target, and Chapters Indigo.

Coming from the challenging Jane and Finch community, I’ve defied the odds to gain global recognition. My two-book series shares my real journey of being raised by gangsters and overcoming the trauma of witnessing a homicide at just six years old.

As the founder of COJ BOOKZ Publishing and a non-profit organization, I’m a dedicated advocate for childhood trauma awareness and mental health. Through four active youth writing programs, I empower young people to transform their pain into purpose through storytelling.
