Upon being hired as Senior Project Manager for Celanese, Eric fulfills a critical role orchestrating and executing projects worldwide for this Fortune 500 global technology and specialty materials company. Mr. Ford has dedicated himself and his vision as a leader who engages in projects with an “All-In” attitude.

With a forte for successfully building strong teams and holding a key role leading all facets of technology and strategy, Mr. Ford has successfully positioned Celanese as a leading expert in its field with respect to the application of best business and finance practices contributing to the following successes:

● Turned around multiple failing projects and used root cause analysis to prevent systemic recurring failures while implementing digital initiatives to improve productivity while reducing safety and environmental incidents thus increasing the company profit.

● Initiated connections between Celanese and FIRSTNET, verifying eligibility and paving the way for membership that serves as a key source of highly-reliable local and national communications at a substantial cost savings.

● Significantly improved global Major Projects by developing and enhancing the processes, procedures and the monthly dashboard, creating insight into the health and direction of each initiative to Vice Presidents, C-Suite, and Board of Directors.

● Defines expectations and ollaborates with senior management, contractors and employees engaged in operations, maintenance, projects, and reliability, ensuring the success of each project by implementing best practices and minimizing life cycle costs.

Prior to working for Celanese, Eric drove positive outcomes across Operations Leadership,, Emergency Response, Technology Management, Construction Management, Process Improvement, Program Management, and Risk Management in multiple roles in high stake environments within Celanese, EJF Solutions LLC, Wood, and The United States Coast Guard positioning himself as a key member of each company and a driving force for growth.

• Successfully implemented numerous initiatives throughout Wood resulting in major contract wins and repeat business.

• Managed and led CG logistical emergency preparation, response, and recovery from Hurricane Ike for the entire Sector/ Region resulting in reopening seven waterways between Lake Charles, Louisiana and Freeport, Texas to commercial vessel traffic within a few days, saving over $2 billion for the American economy and more than 230 lives.

• Creating nation’s first ever Vessel Support Unit during response to Hurricane Katrina and managing the maintenance and repair of over 130 vessels directly contributing to the CG saving over 11,000 lives via surface vessels; and solving all logistical problems to overcome parts and facility needs during a time of crisis.

Eric holds a Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science Degree in Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering from United States Coast Guard Academy.
