I’ve been obsessed with art for as long as I can remember. A nursery school report, from when I was three, says: "Nicole is a good little girl, very quiet and reserved. She likes playing with plasticine and looking at picture books.” These days, I play with concrete, styrofoam and paint, and draw cartoons. I still love looking at picture books, but I’m probably not as quiet

and reserved any more.

In 2007 I moved to Tenerife, and began helping the local animal rescue centres with their publicity. My rescue pooch, Gizmo, was the spokesmutt. He went on to feature in my novels: Nobody’s Poodle and Somebody’s Doodle, and my collection of wooftastic cartoons, DogEndz.

In 2019, my exhibition of drawings, paintings and sculptures of abandoned dogs, Rescue Me! was described by Dog’s

Monthly magazine as: "Art with a Heart."
