Misty Bruns

For the last twenty years, Misty Bruns has been a leader who helps people achieve success!

As a businesswoman with a diverse and impressive background in various levels of professionalism, she has experience working with Coca-Cola Enterprises, Payless ShoeSource, and Pak-Rite Industries, to name a few. Her experience ranges in leadership roles amongst larger Fortune 500 companies to family owned organizations in both union and nonunion environments.

Her impressive career started with a B.S from Miami University in Human Resource Management and Organizational behavior. While at Miami, she volunteered as a victim advocate and spoke to local school age students about ways they can use their leadership skills to help others. Life-long learning is a core passion that her mother, Donna, instilled from a young age. Misty believes this helped her achieve the success she has in her career. She holds a Masters degree in Education in Human Resource Development from Xavier University and recently earned her MBA from the University of Dayton. Misty has an SPHR certification from The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) that she has kept current throughout her career.

Though her skills are clearly diverse, she specializes in planning for businesses to include leadership development, succession planning, employee relations, financial evaluation, as well as start up operations. As a professional, her passions lie in building the right teams, offering opportunities for development and growth, and coaching high-level executives on the most effective means to execute their goals.

Working in numerous industries such as retail, wholesale, logistics, and automotive gives Misty a unique business knowledge that she likes to use when giving back to her community through various volunteer opportunities. Misty has also served on many boards over the years, mentored numerous students, and coordinates events to benefit local charities.

Apart from her expansive professional accomplishments, Misty resides outside of Dayton, OH with her husband, Joseph, and her two children, Eli & Riley, around whom her world revolves! Cheering on her kids at their various events is her greatest joy. They love to spend their time at the beach as a way to keep their family ‘anchored.’
