Marco Lopez

Writer Marco Lopez co-created the Oni–Lion Forge award-winning, graphic novel Puerto Rico Strong, for which he won an Eisner. He then co-created and wrote Luchaverse, a sci-fi/horror comic series from Chido Comics and Masked Republic, starring famous Mexican luchadors. He followed that with the mini-series Slashers Inc. For Ablaze Publishing, he created and wrote the hit middle-grade graphic novel, The Nightcrawlers, with artist Rachel Distler. In 2026, he has two manga-inspired middle-grade graphic novels scheduled for release, along with a couple of horror novels. Besides publishing, Marco has two horror screenplays making the rounds in Hollywood, and the Nightcrawlers film adaptation is in active development with Fangoria Productions.
