Bill Kinder is the co-author of "Making the Cut at Pixar: The Art of Editing Animation." During his eighteen years at the renowned studio, he founded the Editorial & Post Production department—which became known as the “hub of the wheel” for an unprecedented string of critically acclaimed box office winners.
Kinder began his career producing an Emmy®-nominated documentary, news, and sports; editing commercials; and creating experimental non-fiction films. Kinder was then the Director of Post Production Facilities at the birthplace of electronic cinema, American Zoetrope in San Francisco. There he brought Francis Ford Coppola’s Storyboard Department into the digital era, and managed the post production on numerous feature films.
Today he applies his ability in developing creative talent to various studio consulting and producing assignments, which have recently included: an animated Netflix series in Paris; an animation startup in Vietnam; a “must-see" independent feature film; and essay films exploring cinema culture.
