Derrick Johnson

Derrick Johnson, a Northern California native that grew up in Richmond and Fairfield California respectively, having a knack for art since grade school, started off as a standout drawing artist, digital artist, apparel designer, branched out to writing and performing music and now an author of childrens books starting with The Life of DJ, written and illustrated by Him. The Life of DJ marks the beginning of a series of books that follow DJ through life while He learns different lessons and things along the way. The mission is to teach children basic but important lessons like the importance of hard work, dedication, education, being active in sports, self esteem, kindness to others, to name a few. Each book will be a new adventure that teaches a new lesson. Derrick Johnson is a father of two children, one having special needs, so reaching children and being an inspiration to the youth is important.
