Norma Samuelson

Since the first time Norma grabbed a crayon, art has been part of her identity. At the age of 12, she started her classical training as an artist, at the Martin A. Malharro Superior School of Visual Arts, in Mar del Plata, Argentina. Norma dreamed of moving to the US since she was little. Her dream became a reality when she moved to California at 22 years old. At the age of 26, she started her own business as an Architectural Illustrator, and went on to work for some of the largest firms in the US. Currently, she has turned her talents to writing and illustrating children's books. For the last twelve years, she has also been teaching art at an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico. Through the free expression of art, the healing process begins, helping the kids to overcome their difficult circumstances. Her wordless book, "a life, an orphan" and her latest books, "Emma's Dream" and "Emma's Diary" are the product of her journey with these orphans, and they tell stories of hope. Encouraging words and imagery from someone who lived a similar experience can ignite a beautiful HOPE!
