A.B. Haley is a children’s book author. She specializes in books about families. Her first children’s book, The Seed That Became Me, is her personal story of having a donor conceived child. A.B. Haley chose to write this book for her four year old daughter, so that she can better understand their unique family.
The author’s main goals are to show diversity in families, and help kids from non-traditional families have confidence and feel included.
Family is also an important theme in A.B. Haley’s other works. She writes generational keepsake journals for families. These include, Grandma’s Life Story: 100 Question Journal and Grandpa’s Life Story: 100 Guided Questions. She believes that journaling is so important, especially for the older generations. Being a writer, she knows how incredibly hard it is to have to tell your story in a blank journal. Many details get left out. She hopes these journals help people easily tell their stories.
