Larry was born and raised in Seattle Washington. He first learned to love science fiction reading the Tom Swift series as a young boy. He was always fascinated with science and grew up with Gilbert microscope and chemistry sets. He was banned from chemistry experiments at home when he bleached his mother's black convertible top distilling bromine in the garage. Larry received his B.S. and M.S. in Clinical Microbiology from the University of Washington. After a 4-year stint in the military he met the love of his life, LaDonna (another microbiologist), in a mycology class at U of W - to whom he has been married for 50 years and with whom has raised three children. After graduation, Larry took a position as Lab Scientist at the Seattle VA Medical Center (PSHCS) Microbiology lab. After for 20 years in the lab, he moved over to the Information Resource Management department as a programmer/developer for VA's VistA Electronic Health Care system. Both Larry and LaDonna are co-authors of scientific journals listed Index Medicus. Since retirement, Larry has been a contractor for Vista Expertise Network, Seattle developing applications for EHR. As Larry and LaDonna are devout Christians, Larry's science fiction stories do not contain swearing, pornographic situations or, excessive violence.
