Carolyn Adams

Carolyn Adams is an award winning researcher and author. She is the daughter of Chauncey Adams who's story she tells in her new book "The Stink". Originally an educator, she spent many years working in central and local government In New Zealand as a policy analyst and writer. These skills have now been applied to her passion; researching and writing her family history, first in her book "History: One Family at a Time" which won an an award from the New Zealand Society of Genealogists. The judges commented: " A brilliant read, well set out and how the family was placed genetically and historically was fascinating."

As a commitment to her father, she set out to bring to light an almost forgotten battle in WW2 where the New Zealand forces were part of Operation Crusader in 1941. The commitment of these men was heroic and the losses terrible. But unlike many other battles this one not properly commemorated. Chauncey was distressed by this and Carolyn has sought to bring this into the light. A recent reviewer has commented: "The design, layout and presentation is superb, it is a wonderful tribute to one man's service."

When not writing, Carolyn enjoys the arts and nature and her family in Wellington, New Zealand, a city that she loves.
