I was born and grew up in Newcastle, NSW, Australia. I have worked and lived all over Australia, and in Greece.
I’m a husband, father and a grandfather.
I’ve travelled Europe twice, for 6 months and 5 months respectively, and been to Thailand many times as well, where I met and married my lovely wife Chanita.
In school I used to love writing stories, and by high school age I knew I wanted to be a writer and a published author. But at the time the pressure was there to “get a real job”, so I took up motor mechanics as a trade.
Later I entered the transport industry, before deciding to retire early. It was immediately after that, my desire to write stories and publish my work, became strong again.
I’ve now published several books, with most of those being kid’s picture story books.
Now that I have published my first novel on Amazon KDP, I intend to keep writing and publishing.
My other interests and hobbies are: building furniture items from recycled/repurposed timbers, traveling when I can, watching movies, listening to music from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, photography, and to a lesser degree, gardening to grow vegetables.
I’m a bit of a linguist I guess, and I can speak and understand a little Thai, German, French, Greek, and Italian.
I love all animals, and I have been saddened many times by losing loved pets. I seem to have a gift with animals, and I’ve been called a dog whisperer and a horse whisperer on many occasions, having been able to calm and communicate even with dangerous and aggressive animals. It’s true that they know straight up, whether you like animals, and if you’re afraid of them or not. It makes all the difference.
