Debbie Pietsch

I am a native Texan. I like traveling and being close to the water. Lakes, streams, and beaches are my favorite places to fish, swim and snorkel. I am at peace when I am near the water.

When I am not working at the local boutique, you can find me gardening, riding my bike, or in the kitchen preparing some awesome meals for my family. I also enjoy craft projects, whether that be making jewelry, wooden projects, and floral arrangements. I love creating and designing.

I have been married 34 years to my high school sweetheart, Kenneth, and we have 2 sons. Grant is a Texas A&M graduate, while Derek is a senior at Texas A&M Galveston.

Outdoor photography is my passion. I love creating images of children, families, and seniors. They are all unique and each has a special journey in their life that always makes it fun creating their story.

I was photographing my son, Derek at 12 years old when he caught a giant blue catfish. He started swimming with the fish to revive it and at that moment I was inspired to write my first book titled "Swim with fish".

My boys and their friends have had many more adventures since that day which led me to continue writing to create a series of books to teach children to have a love for reading and make the world a little brighter for all of us. I believe it will inspire both young and old alike.

I believe God had a plan for each of us. Everyone has a purpose and he gives each one of us a gift so we can use it to help others. My gift is photography and being able to see special moments in life that are important to everyone. I am very grateful that I can share my sons' stories to help children read about fishing. It is not all about the excitement of the catch, it is also about the friendships we make along the way and the bonding with our families which creates lifelong memories while enjoying nature and the great outdoors.

My goal is to support and give back to the community and help young anglers fulfill their dreams.
