Jonathan Wesley

Reverend Dr. Jonathan Wesley is an agent of change that loves people. Born and raised in the inner cities of Irvington/Newark, NJ, Dr. Wesley found joy in the arts being his lifeline as a queer person. It was the arts that literally saved his life as he attempted suicide at 15 because he did not believe that anyone loved him because of his sexual orientation. Dr. Wesley found that the love he has for God and the love that God has for him was reciprocal. As a result, he submitted to the calling of his life to helping those in pain know that life is always worth living! Reverend Wesley is a pracdivist (practitioner-academic-activist-artist) that identifies as queer in every way and is a member of the clergy. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, a Master of Education, a Master of Religion and Public Life, two graduate certificates, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Educational Policy. He lives by the mantra "If I Can Help Somebody As I Pass Along, Then my Living will not be in VAIN"!
