Travis Bruyer

Travis Bruyer is a nationally renowned expert in law enforcement and personal protection, as well as a consultant to Hollywood film and TV productions. During his twenty-five year career as a police officer, he worked search and rescue, drug interdiction, criminal investigations, SWAT, and hostage/crisis negotiations. An expert on weapons and defensive tactics, as well as one who manages armed intruder situations, Mr. Bruyer continues to work as a licensed private investigator, crime scene consultant, and teacher of public safety education, all while serving as executive director of the Montana Institute for the Arts. Mr. Bruyer is the author of Staying Safe and When the Shooting Starts and The Legal Survival Guide for Students.

Mr. Bruyer is a veteran and strongly supports other veterans and causes. He was quoted in saying, "I don't have all the answers, I certainly struggle with my demons every day. Writing was a way to speak my words the way I needed and could say them. I feel like I'm running out of time...it's stressful to want to finish all the projects I want to and be where I need to be (physically and mentally). Regardless, thank you for the opportunity to be of service". I still have a lot of learning and growing a head of me.
