Guy Slowik

Guy Slowik, FRCS is a recently retired orthopaedic surgeon who has written extensively on various health subjects. He is the editor of YourMedicalSource.com and the originator of the project to educate and help those who are caring for sufferers from Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. He was amongst the very first to make trustworthy health information available online, when the internet was first established in the 1990s, working with some of the most renowned medical pro-fessionals around the world to produce highly authoritative health information. This collection initially formed the basis of Yahoo Health, which for over 10 years, was the number one source of health information online. A short manuscript submitted by Professor Bernard Isaacs, one of the leading geriatricians in the world at the time, titled ‘The Language of Caring’ was so powerful, it was felt more appropriate that it form the basis of a valuable book for those caring for loved ones with Alz-heimer's disease and other dementias.
